Hello and welcome to our winter edition of Here to Help.

Like most of us do at this time, I’ve been reflecting on what’s been happening over the last 12 months and the challenges thrown at us.

The cost-of-living crisis rumbles on making things difficult for people up and down the country, and with the recent storms and snowfalls, we’ve also been extremely busy responding to weather-related repairs and call-outs.

Our teams are continuing to work hard to support customers - something I’m proud we’re able to showcase in our customer annual review for 2022-23, which can be seen here.

If you haven’t had chance to have a look yet, it’s packed with stories and information about what we do, not only to provide much needed new homes, but also to help people who may be struggling or disadvantaged; whether it’s someone fleeing domestic abuse, getting an ex-veteran off the street or supporting a young person into independent living.

Also in the review is a snapshot of our sustainability work, which is something that’s really important to us too. As a business, we’re fully aware of our impact on the environment so I was really pleased to be a part of the launch of our Greenoak Centre of Excellence, which aims to bring the housing industry together to drive new ideas and solutions to help protect the planet for future generations. It was a terrific event and I feel confident that we can drive real change. You can find out more about this here.

Finally, as we approach the season of ‘jingle tills,’ I just want to remind all our customers that we’re always ready to listen and are here to help, whether you’re worried about energy bills, struggling with other debt or just looking for budgeting tips.
