Meet the contractor:

Bell

We work closely with a range of trusted contractors to help keep your home safe, well maintained and running smoothly. One of these contractors is Bell, who provide property services in certain areas.

What they do and how they do it

Bell is one of the UK’s largest property services contractors, working with housing associations, local councils and organisations across the country. They support us with delivering services like painting, roofing, kitchen and bathroom replacements, maintenance and more. If you live in an area covered by Bell, one of their operatives may visit your home to carry out repairs, improvement works or other types of maintenance. We know that repairs are your number one priority, and it’s important you can trust the people who come into your home - that’s why we work closely with Bell to make sure you receive a consistent, reliable and high-quality service.

“We have a deep-rooted determination to ‘do the right thing’, be that through our Foundation and community endeavours; to send our workforce home safely, or simply our ability to be agile, innovate and collaborative for our customers every day.”

Craig Bell, CEO at Bell

If something does go wrong, we take it seriously and work quickly to put it right – always learning from the experience.

Out in your communities

Bell joined us for our community days both this year and last.

We hold community days at our schemes across the country to give you the chance to meet us in person, share your ideas, and ask any questions you may have. Many of our contractors and partners take part in these events, all working together to help improve our neighbourhoods.

As part of our community days, Bell:

  • Ran painting activities for local children, creating fun, welcoming spaces that encouraged creativity and brought people together. They also gave away leftover tins of paint to customers to take home for their own DIY projects – a great way to promote recycling and reuse!
  • Spoke directly with you, answering questions and listening to your feedback.
  • Donated child-friendly paint pens to the community in Yeovil, helping make the craft activity held on the day more accessible for everyone.

A transformation for Orwell Close

Recently, the Bell team visited Orwell Close in Loughborough to help us enhance a communal outdoor space for customers.

Bell operatives dedicated a day to refreshing and improving the space - building and installing new wooden planters, repainting fencing and planting a variety of flowers to bring fresh colour and life to the area.

The transformation created a welcoming and colourful environment that local customers can take pride in, relax in and use to connect with their neighbours.
