Moving out

When you move out of one of our properties, you must make sure it is clean, empty and in a good state of repair.

If something needs fixing and it’s your responsibility

If there’s a repair needed in your home that is your responsibility, we'll support you to get it fixed within a reasonable time frame so your home remains a safe place for you and your family to live.

If you don’t arrange for the work to get done after a period of time, then we may have to carry out the repair ourselves and charge for the work and any other associated costs.

Where the property deteriorates because of neglect, for example, when repairs haven't been reported and the problem has got worse, we'll charge you for the cost of putting it right.

In most cases, we don't carry out work which customers are responsible for, but there may be times where we will, depending on who is living in the property.
