Meet Eva
Community Champion
I’m Eva.
My family and I moved into our home just over seven years ago - a month before our son was born. The estate was newly built at the time, and with such friendly neighbours, it quickly became clear that this would be a great community to live in.
Our road is often very lively, as many families with young children live here, which creates a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Like any community, we sometimes face challenges, but they’re usually resolved quickly and without any issues, which really shows how well everyone works together.
During the Christmas period, our street is often the most colourful and cheerful in the village!
After coming out of COVID, we all faced a slightly different reality, and it became obvious that the approach to grounds maintenance had changed. Many of us weren’t satisfied with the new standards, and after a couple of failed attempts trying to get things improved, I came across the advert for the Community Champion role. I decided to give it a go.
My first encounter was with Kim, and it was such a positive experience - she was friendly, informative, and very supportive.
I work full-time, so I don’t always have a lot of spare time, especially for things that don’t seem to bring results. That’s why being able to have issues effectively resolved has been so rewarding. Kim has been fantastic in helping with this - she’s always so helpful and quick to direct me to the right person.
Over the past year and a half as a Community Champion, we’ve achieved some great results together.
I love that the role gives me the chance to learn new things and make real improvements in our community. Often, small changes can make a big difference!
I would definitely encourage other customers to get involved - with just a little time and effort, you can make a huge impact.
