Making reporting communal issues easier for you
With What3Words
When you need us to help with something in a communal area, we want to make sure that we can find it and deal with it quickly. To do this we need to know exactly where the issue is.
All of our schemes are different – and whilst you know where you live like the back of your hand, reporting that there’s an issue in “the car park” or “at the back of the building” is often not enough detail for our colleagues and contracting partners to find it.
So that we can resolve issues quicker, we’re encouraging our customers to use a GPS app called What3Words. To get started, follow these simple steps:
- Download the What3Words app on your smartphone. It’s free, completely secure and safe to use.
- Stand at the exact location of the issue. If the issue is dangerous (for example broken glass), then get as near as you safely can to see the issue.
- Open the app, you’ll see a three-word location at the top of the screen.
- When you report your issue, include the three-word sequence on the email, form or tell the person you speak to on the phone.
It’s that simple! Your What3Words reference will help us get directly to the problem.
If you need any help using the app, you can find information on their website.
