16 days of activism
supporting survivors of domestic abuse and their children
This year we were proud to support the 16 Days of Activism global campaign, aimed at raising awareness and taking action to end domestic violence and gender-based abuse.
Stonewater has 20+ years’ experience delivering refuge, safe accommodation and community based domestic abuse services, and our teams work hard to provide a safe, comfortable space for survivors.
Over the 16 days, we raised awareness within Stonewater to ensure all our staff know exactly how to support customers who might be experiencing domestic abuse. We’ve also attended events to speak about our service and share best practice with other organisations.
Domestic abuse can affect anyone, so it’s really important to know what support is available for yourself or someone you know. You can also help your friends, families and loved ones by calling out abusive behaviours when you hear them, whether that’s physical actions, derogatory language or controlling characteristics.
No one should go through the trauma of domestic abuse, and we hope you’ll stand with us in raising awareness whenever you can.
