The Ageing Well Board
The Ageing Well Board is made up of customers who are passionate about finding ways we can support customers to live well in their homes for longer.
The Board is open to anyone who meets any of the following requirements:
- aged 55+,
- have caring responsibilities for older people,
- work in the caring or retirement sector or;
- have other relevant experience supporting others to age well.
They look at our policies and how we deliver our services to ensure they’re working for people aged 55+. Members meet regularly online, to share their views and lived experiences. These important conversations help to shape the way we do things.

We’re looking for new recruits to join the Ageing Well Board and help us explore ways to support our customers in living well at home for longer.
We're seeking customers aged 55+, those with caring responsibilities, or individuals with experience in the care or retirement sectors.
With limited spaces available, if you’re passionate about shaping the future for older customers and want to collaborate with us, we’d love to hear from you!
In the past year, our Ageing Well Board have:
Reviewed our policies, guidance and communications
The group have provided feedback on seven key communications and policies. From the pest control procurement to winter fuel support letters, the access to housing policy and our rent and service charge guidance, the Ageing Well Board have played a key role in ensuring our documents are clear, customer-focused and easy to understand.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Project
From September 2024 to January 2025, the Ageing Well Board met with members of our team who presented data on the representation of older customers in key services, including complaints, lettings and anti-social behaviour.
Discussions from this meeting provided great insight into the experiences of older customers and the steps we plan to take next.
The Ageing Well Board have helped to shape these efforts, offering their perspectives from lived experience and suggesting ways to raise awareness and improve visibility in each area. We’re excited to see how their feedback and suggested actions help to make these services more accessible and inclusive for older customers!
Additional activities
We’re incredibly grateful for the time and effort each member of the group dedicates to not only attending online meetings and diving into new projects, but also getting involved in additional activities that help promote the important work they do.
During Involvement Week in October 2024, a member of the group joined us as a panellist for a session highlighting the incredible contributions of engaged customers and celebrating their successes.
Last month, a member of the group joined us for a customer interview workshop, further demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact.
Next up
The Ageing Well Board have been working with us on our Retirement Living survey, with the aim to ensure that retirement living services truly reflect what matters most to our customers. By understanding current experiences and future aspirations, the group will use these insights to shape meaningful improvements and drive positive change throughout the year.
