Inclusion at Stonewater
We believe that everyone should be able to access services they're entitled to.

Get involved
You help us to improve our services in many ways, and hearing from a diverse range of voices helps us to do this. One of the ways you can share your thoughts and experiences with us is through our customer engagement opportunities.
Our customer groups help us in lots of ways – from the Building Safety Group advising on how we communicate important fire safety information, to our Scrutiny Panel helping us to improve our services through detailed reviews.
All our experiences are different, and we need to hear from people from all walks of life to get a full picture of what you need from us - that’s one of the reasons why customer engagement is so important to us.
By getting involved and giving some of your time, you can make a real difference. You don’t need any special skills or qualifications and however you choose to get involved, you will be warmly welcomed.
Whether you just have a few minutes to complete a survey, or you’re interested in becoming a Community Champion, we have a range of options to suit you.
We also recently updated our Customer Voice Policy, which sets out how we will engage and communicate with you to ensure you take a central role in shaping, influencing and scrutinising our decision-making in order to enhance our services.
Inclusion Live and Direct
In February, we held an interactive Facebook Live and Direct session all about inclusion and how we deliver inclusive services.
We were joined by a panel of colleagues from our Customer Engagement, Housing Management, Supported Living and Wellbeing teams, who talked about how we aim to make our services as accessible as possible, why this is important and the opportunities and support we can offer you. As well as this, you were able to ask your questions directly to our panel.
It’s really important to us that all of our customers are able to access our services. If you, or someone in your household, has a disability or long-term illness, you’re entitled to reasonable adjustments. This means, if you need us to deliver our services differently to make sure you can access them, we will always try to accommodate this.

We’re also here to support you in many other ways – including financial support and employment and volunteering opportunities. We offer refuges and Safe Spaces for survivors of domestic abuse, and our Resolutions team can provide confidential support.
As well as this, we aim to help you to live as independently as possible. One of the ways in which we can do this is by funding certain aids and adaptations to your home, so that you can live comfortably and maintain your independence for longer. There are a range of services and simple adaptations we can offer, such as grab rails, stair lifts and ramps. We’ll work closely with you to find the options that best suit you. Free digital training
Would you like to become more comfortable and confident using digital technology?
Improving your digital skills could include anything from learning how to send an email to navigating websites, video calling family and friends or finding out how to use a tablet to watch your favourite TV programmes.
Here's why getting digital is so important:
- Staying connected: imagine being able to video call family who live miles away, join online communities or order your prescription online!
- Saving time and money: online banking, shopping around for deals and booking appointments online can save you heaps of time and money.
- Accessing information using our online portal, MyHome, or more useful information, such as local health services.
- Learning something new: the internet is a treasure trove of knowledge! Knowing how to get around online can help you learn for fun or for work and education.
- Boosting confidence: mastering new skills, especially one that seems a bit daunting, can give you a real confidence boost.
Our partners, We Are Group, can support you with training and a device (if needed). You can learn in the comfort of your own home, at a pace that works for you.
